Hospice of Lenawee is hiring for a:
LPN - Full-time - Night Shift - Hospice Home $23/hour
$1/hour night shift premium = $24/hour The night shift position is 3 12-hour shifts per week from 7p - 7:
30a Every 3rd weekend with a holiday rotation.
The Hospice Home is an 8-bed hospice inpatient facility.
We're looking for a Michigan licensed LPN who brings excellence, compassion, and integrity to the end-of-life journey.

The Hospice Residence LPN supports the mission of Hospice of Lenawee by providing care to patients and their families at the Hospice Residence under the direction of the RN.
The Residence LPN will demonstrate excellent clinical and communication skills and will exhibit patience and respect for all patients, families, and team members.
Essential Job Responsibilities of an LPN:
Provides skilled nursing care based on sound organizational, analytical and problem-solving techniques, and accepted standards of care.
Follows a comprehensive care plan that addresses physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual needs of the patient/ family with input from the patient, family, and interdisciplinary team.
Evaluates patient and family response to plan of care interventions and reports to RN.
Aggressively advocates for pain and symptom management.
Teaches and counsels the patient and family regarding care.
Assists with patient personal care, laundry, dietary, and housekeeping services as needed.
Fulfills responsibilities of Hospice Aide as needed.
Maintains close communication with the RN and IDT members involved in the patient's care.
Administers and documents medications and treatments as ordered by the Physician and according to HOL policies and procedures in an accurate and timely manner.
Qualifications of an LPN:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities of an LPN:
Demonstrates ability to make sound clinical judgements and act upon them in a timely manner.
Demonstrates ability to manage time effectively and to prioritize immediate needs of patients and families.
Proficient with technical abilities such as IV administration, equipment function and maintenance.
Demonstrates ability to plan, assess, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients and families.
Demonstrates ability to function autonomously in the Residence setting within the policies and procedures of HOL.
Demonstrates excellent customer service, both internally and externally.
Possesses strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with patients, families, and other team members.
Demonstrates ability to function as a team member, collaborate with coworkers on different shifts, positions, and departments to promote teamwork and inclusion.
Demonstrates interest, compassion, and empathy for the terminally ill and is comfortable with issues of death and dying.
Is self-aware and asks for help when the need arises.
Demonstrates ability to read, write, and follow direction and instruction.
Has the physical ability necessary for extensive standing, lifting, and pushing.
Demonstrates ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
Education/Credentials of an LPN:
Graduate of approved School of Nursing.
Current Michigan LPN License.
CPR certification, required.
Experience of an LPN:
Two years nursing experience in hospice, home health, or oncology nursing, preferred.
Experience with dying patients and their families, hospice experience preferred.
Experience in health care, required.
Position Status/Classification:

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
