The Art Instructor will assist the Art Works Supervisor with providing a person-centered planning and a safe environment for the artists by introducing and facilitating the creation of art through a variety of media, following the Art Works process, and assisting adults with disabilities with developing vocational skills while producing sellable art.
Responsibilities:
Work hands-on with artists to motivate and stimulate creativity, innovation, and independent problem solving to help artists reach their highest potential in the art career path.
Support progress through positive reinforcement; modeling positive employee behaviors and giving constructive feedback.
Enable the artists to be as independent and self-sufficient as possible.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date progress notes.
Instruct artists in proper care and use of tools and supplies.
Assist in the hanging and presentation of artist's completed artwork.
Participate in art shows and events to promote the artists' work.
Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols.
Assists in monitoring program standards in compliance with CARF standards, recipient's rights, CMH, and Goodwill policies and procedures.
Assist with customers in the store front, greeting customers, making sales, and being responsible for monies collected.
Participate in artist's person-centered planning meetings.
Completes other duties as assigned.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
