They provide basic needs and support to our guests in a welcoming and supportive space with the goal of finding housing.

Part Time, Full Time, weekends, and holidays Education:
Possess a minimum of an Associate's degree in a social services related field or have extensive experience, passion, and knowledge in community based social services or other related experience with homeless adults, mentally ill, or substance abuse.
Physical Requirements:
Sit, Stand, Walk, Bend, Stoop Normal range of hearing and vision is required with or without correction.
Ability to walk up and down stairs.
Must be able to work with many background distractions.
Have the ability to lift 30 pounds.
Required Skills Trustworthy, honest, and be able to collaboratively work as a member of a team.
Work collectively and collaboratively with a culturally diverse population of clients, other care providers, family members, and community members.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality.

Ability to work holidays and weekends.
Essential Functions Helps Share the Warmth of Lenawee Team monitor shelter activities to ensure a smooth delivery of services and effective and safe shelter operations Ability to communicate thoroughly with guests while always valuing dignity and respect.
Work closely with Case Managers to help guests with their individualized service plan.
Provide clear and accurate information when answering the phone or communicating with the public.
Use de-escalation techniques quickly and effectively when needed.
Oversee volunteer activities.
Pre-Screen and start intakes for guests.
Help in the cleanliness of the shelter and maintain a clean workspace.
Ensure the safety of the guests, volunteers, and other staff by adhering to the policies and procedures of the Operations Manual.
Help with meals and some minor preparation.
Participate in fundraising events pertinent to the success of the shelter.
Maintain a clean workspace.
Training on first aid, CPR, bloodborne pathogens, culture and diversity, ethics, trauma informed care, and housing laws will be provided for all new staff.
Staff will be required to continue training and participate in staff meetings.
